Dear All,<\/p>

NUMSA \/\/ EMPLOYER PARTIES IN ANNEXURE A: NOTICE OF STRIKE ACTION ISSUED IN TERMS OF SECTION 64(1)(b) OF THE LRA<\/strong><\/p>

  1. Please take notice that NUMSA hereby gives notice of a strike to the employer parties listed in Annexure A.<\/p><\/li>

  2. The strike is in pursuit of NUMSA\u2019s wage and substantive demands for 2021, contained in Annexure B. As you are aware, the dispute was referred to the MEIBC and a certificate of non-resolution has been issued by the MEIBC.<\/p><\/li>

  3. The strike shall commence at 5 am on 5th October 2021 nationwide in the Engineering Sector.<\/p><\/li>

  4. All our members within the Engineering Sector are expected to participate in the strike.<\/p><\/li>

  5. Please be advised that the strike is indefinite duration and will persist until the employer parties listed in annexure A meet our demands. As previously mentioned, our demands are contained in Annexure B.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><\/li>

  6. NUMSA remains available at any time to meet with the employer parties, whether individually or collectively, to resolve the dispute.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li>
